Description: BrownSoCal presents Richard V. Campagna, Brown ‘72, J.D., M.A., Ph.D. on Libertarianism, Existential Optimism and The Iowa Caucuses.
Richard Campagna, ‘72, is a multi-lingual, multi-disciplinary professional who has a long record of community service, political activism, legal and psychological consultation and pedagogy. His non-traditional approach to personal, professional and political discourse and achievement is best described as “optimistic existentialism” with a libertarian twist. Campagna is the author of numerous books, scholarly articles and monographs and will soon release his next book: “Existentialism and Personal, Professional and Political Freedom.” He has visited 199 countries and has his sights set on Andorra and Zanzibar for 2008. Campagna, who currently resides in Iowa City, ran for Lt. Governor of Iowa in 2002 and for Vice President of The United States in 2004, as a Libertarian. Richard will also talk about his current book, “The Optimistic Existentialist,” which he will be prepared to autograph and sell (purchase optional, of course). He will have give-aways for all attendees, whether one buys a book or not.
