Join alumni, parents and friends to celebrate the momentum of the Campaign for Academic Enrichment. Festivities begin with a faculty colloquium presented by Professor Houston, continue with beverages and light fare, and conclude with remarks from President Simmons and dessert. Brown Derbies Concert/Happy Hour

Date: Thursday, January 18, 2007
Time: Happy hour starts at 8:00pm. The Derbies will perform at 9:30pm.

Description: Come enjoy our first happy hour event of the new year, featuring the touring Brown Derbies.  Cost includes heavy appetizers.  There will be a cash bar.  All former Derbies are invited to sing a song with the group!  Advance registration online ends Wednesday, January 17th at 5:00pm.
Cost: $10 in advance for Brown Club of Southern California members (join here). $15 for non-members in advance or for anyone at the door.

Brown Women Tea & Tour At The Huntington

Date: Saturday, January 20, 2007

Location: The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Gardens, 1151 Oxford Road, San Marino, CA 91108 [map]
Description: We return to the Huntington, one of our favorite venues in the Pasadena area, for their superb tea, a short walk across the grounds, and a docent tour of the new Erburu Gallery. The Huntington’s distinguished collection of 18th and 19th century European masterpieces is currently assembled in this one beautiful space while the Huntington Residence/Gallery is closed for restoration. The display includes portraits by Reynolds and Romney, landscapes by Constable and Turner, and key elements of their British sculpture and French art collections.
Cost: $43.00 includes brunch, tax & tip, admission and tour.  Parking free.  Pay by cash or check at door, but once reservation is made you will need to make payment, even if you cannot attend, as event is pre-paid.
