An Event of the Pacific Standard Time Arts Project

Beatrice Wood was a seminal artist who lived and worked on both the East and West coasts and bridged gaps between areas as disparate as New York Dada and Southern California ceramics. She lived and worked in Ojai until the age of 105!
This exhibit features more than 100 artworks from her early immersion in the Dada movement through her mature work as a ceramic artist.
Wood (1893–1998) was a vital contributor to the art scene of the period and is thus a key player in the Pacific Standard Time project.
The exhibit includes a short documentary featuring interviews with Wood in her Oaji studio.

SPECIAL OPTION AT 2:00PM : There will be an additional scheduled presentation by esteemed arts educator Philip Yenawine, co-founder of VUE (Visual Understanding in Education, www.vue.org) and former director of education at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He will be applying his nationally recognized technique for looking and discussing art called Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS).
