Description:

Knights, Tights and Dancing Queens in this Symposium of Silliness!!!

Join us at the Ahmanson Theater of the Music Center for Monty Python's Spamalot, the popular musical lovingly ripped off from the popular motion picture Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Downtown traffic will be light on a summer Sunday, and the earlier evening performance starting time will give you plenty of time for getting home after the show.

This is Spamalot's first time in Los Angeles.

John O'Hurley stars as King Arthur in the Los Angeles production. Winner of the Best musical 2005 Tony Award and directed by Mike Nichols, Monty Python's Spamalot features a book by Eric Idle, based on the screenplay of Monty Python and the Holy Grail by Monty Python creators Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin with music and lyrics by the Grammy Award-winning team of Idle and John Du Prez. Casey Nicholaw is the choreographer.

Meet Special Club Guest—John Altman:

Brown So Cal is pleased to announce that by special arrangement composer, arranger and musician John Altman will be our special guest during a pre-performance reception and then attend the performance with us. John has won an Emmy and a BAFTA award for his film composing work. As a musician, he has played with everyone from Jimi Hendrix to Bob Marley to Nico to Eric Clapton and just about any and everyone in between. WOW! John was the musical director on the original Secret Policeman’s Balls and the orchestrator of the historical music for James Cameron's Titanic.
